Mayhem Sweetfish

I was hesitant to believe the hype, but boy am I glad I bought in. It's all true, I don't need to repeat it. I've had the best turns of my life shredding both deep pow and pristine groomers on this sweet lil fish. Even on the "not so deep pow days" where I brought my daily and dragged its tired edge through rocks, I was daydreaming of what those turns would have felt like if I had brought out the fish. Only knock is on QA- I didn't believe that one guy on YT who said the base doesn't like to hold onto wax, but it's unfortunately true on the board I got. I had a go, multiple legit wax techs had a go, it just wouldn't hold on for more than a good day of riding. The base was also quite uneven as far as a $750 board should be concerned. Eventually I got a mild base grind and intense hotbox, and morale has improved. That said it was still hard writing anything negative because this thing rips so hard.

Do you want to carve groomers? Check. Do you want to float on pow? Double check. Full camber control, snappy, poppy, but the real deal is surfing on PNW snow. What a dream.

After extensive research riding powder while thanking God and trenching groomers while children scream I can confirm that there is a dream built into this sweet fish. While helping reduce the excess sake and sushi in Japan I have had time to reflect on why this board bends the laws of physics. I have given up on trying to understand the secrets this board contains and have given into the my new future - high speed powder wheelies. This board makes me not want to become enlightened just so I can be reincarnated and come back to ride it again and again. Unfortunately, this board might push me over into total harmony with the universe and I will be forced to transcend into a realm where the raw power of the Sweet Fish is must be left behind on earth.
